Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between charles white (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renshu Lau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lau comes into a darkened arena with his song building. 48 Form kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lau shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says white as he avoids it easily.

white tries to clinch but Lau is having none of it.

charles white has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renshu Lau.
white moves into the clinch.
white tries to land knees in the clinch but Lau avoids the damage to the body.
Lau is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but white is keeping busy.
Lau tries to pull guard but white holds him up against the cage and eventually Lau drops back down to his feet.

Lau is trying to trip white. He has hold of a leg but white is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lau persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as white holds on and takes a little breather.

Lau wanted to stand there but white had control of the position.

A nice leg kick lands there from Lau.
Lau throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around white's waist but white gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lau off to one side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
white drives through and clinches with Lau against the cage.

white goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lau rolls with the submission and now he's on top in white's guard! Nice work there by Lau!
white working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lau doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lau manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

so white counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
white drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lau dives on top into guard.
white throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

white has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lau can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lau must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

white throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
white manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
white lands a big shot there that rocks Lau but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
white tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

white jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lau is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lau and white has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
white takes a little break here. Lau wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

white goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lau has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for white but great work by Lau.
white is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lau's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
white misses with some strikes from the bottom.
white makes his way to full guard. A much better position for white.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lau tries to stand but white is controlling from the bottom.
Lau is working white over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

white escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lau gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

charles white overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lau would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
white bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lau's guard.

white is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
white is pushing down on Lau's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lau is fighting to maintain full guard but white has managed to sneak the leg through.
white is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
white stalling away here and it's allowed Lau to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

white is looking to take a break and control but Lau is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lau is looking for a sweep. white is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
