Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Lockhart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Dominguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lockhart might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Disturbed - Deceiver. Dominguez is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cash Image Round Here. Jon Lockhart has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Lockhart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stephen Dominguez! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dominguez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dominguez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lockhart is looking to get to half guard. Lockhart is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Lockhart tries to hold on but Dominguez pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lockhart really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Dominguez throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Dominguez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lockhart is looking to escape. Lockhart tries to lock up and control but Dominguez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dominguez stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Lockhart has taken the fight to the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Dominguez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lockhart clinches with his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dominguez turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dominguez manages to end up in side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lockhart struggling a bit here. Dominguez decides to stand back up. Dominguez steps back and let's Lockhart get back to his feet. Dominguez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lockhart's guard. Dominguez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lockhart is striking from the bottom but Dominguez uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Dominguez drops an elbow to the side of Lockhart's head. Lockhart is looking to control Dominguez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lockhart avoid being mounted? Dominguez decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lockhart clinches with his opponent.

Lockhart scoring with some ground and pound. Dominguez looks gassed! Dominguez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lockhart's guard. Lockhart is trying to control the position but Dominguez postures up. Lockhart looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lockhart is controlling Dominguez's posture. Lockhart controls Dominguez momentarily but Dominguez frees himself. Lockhart had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dominguez defends it easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dominguez controls the pace of the fight for a moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Stephen Dominguez was stalling too much, according to the referee. Lockhart has Dominguez up against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dominguez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Dominguez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lockhart does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lockhart trying to control from the bottom.
Lockhart is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lockhart is trying to maintain the position but Dominguez is very close to passing his half guard. Dominguez passes into side control, despite Lockhart's attempt to control the position.
Dominguez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lockhart tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dominguez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dominguez is looking to take a break and control but Lockhart is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lockhart is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dominguez off and has taken his back! Dominguez is breathing heavily. Lockhart scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Dominguez is looking for a way out. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lockhart is trying to stick to Dominguez's back but Dominguez is turning into Lockhart. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lockhart's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dominguez. Lockhart is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dominguez defends well. Dominguez postures up.
Stephen Dominguez has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dominguez tries to free his leg and advance position but Lockhart is retaining full guard. Lockhart will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dominguez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lockhart has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Dominguez is looking to defend but Lockhart has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Dominguez! Lockhart pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Dominguez taps out and this one is all over!
