Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keiji Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hashimoto comes to the cage accompanied by Holding Out For A Hero (Japanese Version). The crowd seem to be enjoying Speed's choice of entrance music: Tough as Steel by Wolfsbane. Scott Speed is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Speed checks a leg kick. A left lands for Speed. Speed throws a right and a left that both miss. Hashimoto misses with a straight left. Hashimoto throws a leg kick and Speed counters with a low kick, right behind Hashimoto 's knee. Speed connects with a single shot there. Speed misses with a double jab.
Speed ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hashimoto throws a leg kick but Speed sees it coming and checks it nicely. Hashimoto swings away with a leg kick that misses. An inside leg kick from Hashimoto misses. Hashimoto looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Speed is fending him off so far but Hashimoto persists. Nope, Speed circles away and we're back to standing. Speed misses with a hook. Some wild striking there from Speed.
Keiji Hashimoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hashimoto throws a sloppy head kick and Speed counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Hashimoto walks into a jab. Hashimoto misses with a head kick.
Speed moves out of range of the leg kick from Hashimoto. Speed avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Hashimoto misses. A solid leg kick lands there for Speed.
Speed throws a solid leg kick but Hashimoto takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Speed. Speed lands with a thumping leg kick.
Speed rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hashimoto moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Speed throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Speed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hashimoto was well out of range. Poor timing from Speed. Hashimoto thows a left - swing and a miss! Speed fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Hashimoto lands a nice shot that snaps Speed's head back.

Hashimoto fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Speed takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Speed lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hashimoto motions for Speed to come forward. Hashimoto throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hashimoto finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Speed stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hashimoto.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto wants to land a leg kick but Speed is out of range. Hashimoto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Speed swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hashimoto avoids the head kick by Speed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hashimoto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Speed lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hashimoto is defended easily by Speed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keiji Hashimoto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hashimoto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Speed throws a hook but Hashimoto blocks it. Hashimoto throws a head kick but Speed moves out of range.

Hashimoto misses with an uppercut. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hashimoto, right into the meat.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. A decent looking cross lands there for Speed. Hashimoto shoots in and bounces Speed off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hashimoto tries to free his leg and advance position but Speed is retaining full guard. Speed keeping moving, preventing Hashimoto from controlling successfully. Hashimoto loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hashimoto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Speed swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hashimoto working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Speed's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto's corner is telling him to maintain position. Hashimoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hashimoto being controlled here momentarily. Hashimoto is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Speed throws a series of punches but Hashimoto avoids them all with ease. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Speed fails to land with a series of punches.
Hashimoto misses with a looping left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Keiji Hashimoto will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Speed stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Speed wants it to stay on the feet. Hashimoto throws a leg kick which misses Speed's front leg but catches the back leg as Speed tries to avoid it. A head kick misses from Hashimoto. Speed avoids the body shot from Hashimoto.
Hashimoto misses the jab. Speed connects with a body shot that sends Hashimoto's belly button to the back. Hashimoto attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A slow jab from Hashimoto misses its intended target. Hashimoto throws a leg kick and Speed counters with an inside leg kick. Speed scores with a push kick. A right-left combo lands from Speed. Hashimoto keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Scott Speed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hashimoto goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hashimoto lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Speed has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Speed and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Speed throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Hashimoto ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Speed moves away. Hashimoto feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Hashimoto trying to control the position from guard on top but Speed is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hashimoto throws a strike but Speed rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Speed is looking to stand up but Hashimoto won't let him. Hashimoto wants to sweep here but Speed controlling him for the moment.

Hashimoto throws a nice outside leg kick. Speed digs a good body shot into Hashimoto's ribs. Hashimoto looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Speed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Speed takes a swing at Hashimoto's ribcage but misses. Speed has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. A big left from Hashimoto misses. Hashimoto scoring well with a low kick there.

A close second round but Scott Speed will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Hashimoto throws a body kick that misses. Hashimoto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hashimoto fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Speed is out of range. Hashimoto waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Speed. A solid leg kick lands there for Hashimoto.
Speed displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hashimoto throws out the jab. Speed swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hashimoto counters with a thumping low kick. Speed misses the jab. Hashimoto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hashimoto throws a shot from downtown. Speed moves away and avoids it. An inside leg kick from Hashimoto misses. Speed checks a leg kick. Hashimoto on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Hashimoto has managed to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Speed tries to break free but Hashimoto pushes him back against the cage. Hashimoto tries to land knees in the clinch but Speed avoids the damage to the body. Hashimoto prevents Speed from breaking the clinch. Speed on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hashimoto's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Speed tries to circle away but Hashimoto has him pinned against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Hashimoto keeps control of Speed as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Speed is trying to break free. Hashimoto misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Speed.

Hashimoto has Speed pressed against the cage, preventing Speed from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Hashimoto tries to land knees in the clinch but Speed avoids the damage to the body. Hashimoto is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Speed gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hashimoto prevents Speed from breaking the clinch. Speed is trying to break free. Hashimoto misses with an elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Hashimoto just misses with a elbow thrown towards Speed's brow. Hashimoto lands a right hand that snaps the head of Speed backwards. Speed tries to break free but Hashimoto pushes him back against the cage. Speed looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Speed wants to get back to striking at distance but Hashimoto won't allow it.
