Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Currie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hidalgo Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Currie comes to the cage accompanied by Helmet - Just Another Victim. Montoya has chosen El Toro as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Currie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hidalgo Montoya!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Currie waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Montoya.
Montoya misses with a leg kick.
Montoya tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Currie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Currie fails with the takedown.
A chopping leg kick lands by Currie.
Montoya gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Currie working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Montoya's head.
Currie trying to move into half guard but instead Montoya has managed to sweep!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Currie has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Montoya should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Currie has tightened it up now! Montoya should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
