Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tone Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Chevalier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ronald Chevalier! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chevalier misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tone Cross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cross scores with a takedown into Chevalier's guard. Chevalier keeping moving, preventing Cross from controlling successfully. Chevalier has his foot on Cross's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cross works his way back into a safe position though. Cross gets to his feet. Chevalier looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Cross connects with a body shot. Cross drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cross wants to control from the top but Chevalier keeps moving. Chevalier is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Chevalier is looking for a triangle but Cross pushes his legs off easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tone Cross just wasn't active enough. Chevalier shoots for a double leg takedown but Cross sprawls well. Cross postures up and lands a big shot to Chevalier's brow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cross preventing the sweep. Cross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chevalier works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cross trying to control the position from guard on top but Chevalier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cross is looking to work some ground and pound but Chevalier has wrist control. Cross wants to stand but Chevalier has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Chevalier is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cross throwing strikes from guard but Chevalier blocks nicely. Cross stands up from guard. Let's bang! Chevalier has a takedown stuffed. Chevalier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cross sprawls well. Cross wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chevalier gets slowly back to his feet. Tone Cross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Chevalier. Cross lands the left hand.
It looks like Ronald Chevalier has been cut. Good work by Cross as he checks the leg kick. Cross scores with a takedown into Chevalier's guard. Chevalier working for a triangle but Cross defends it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chevalier looking for a guillotine here but Cross defends easily.

Chevalier is working an open guard so Cross takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A low kick from Chevalier misses and Cross counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Cross shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cross showed some decent athleticism there. Chevalier trying to control here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cross changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chevalier looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cross decides to stand back up. Cross steps back and let's Chevalier get back to his feet. Chevalier fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cross shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Cross trying to control but he's not successful this time. Chevalier in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chevalier working to try and regain half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cross wants to control the pace but Chevalier is squirming around nicely. Cross lands a big shot there that rocks Chevalier but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The cut above Ronald Chevalier's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Cross prevents Chevalier from getting the reversal. Cross moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Chevalier has worked his arm free - good work by Chevalier!
Chevalier sneaks back into half guard. Chevalier looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cross stands up out of the half guard. Cross shoots in and gets a takedown into Chevalier's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chevalier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cross gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Cross stands up and waves to Chevalier to follow him.

Cross gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Cross is looking to work some ground and pound but Chevalier has wrist control. Cross stands up from guard. Let's bang! Cross shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chevalier napping and manages to drive through into side control! Chevalier is trying to improve his position. Cross is looking to take a break and control but Chevalier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cross is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chevalier can do to turn this around? Chevalier sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Cross is trying to control the action in half guard but Chevalier is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cross is thwarting Chevalier's attempts to control the position. Cross thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chevalier's head. Chevalier avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cross. Chevalier is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cross pulls his head out easily. Chevalier taking some punishment here, with Cross in his half guard.
Ronald Chevalier's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ronald Chevalier's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
