Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dog Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregg House (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gregg House! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! House missing with a left hand there. Dog was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A head kick from Dog lands but House takes it in his stride.
It looks like Gregg House has been cut. House throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dog sees it coming and avoids it easily. A combination from House does no damage. A punch combination from House misses. House's corner calls for a 1-2. House obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. House swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dog counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Dog pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. House is keeping the position for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! House keeping moving, preventing Dog from controlling successfully. Dog is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dog postures up in House's guard and throws a big left but House blocks it. Dog throws an elbow that misses. House uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dog's guard. Nice move by House! Dog really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Dog has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dog is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, House has managed to free his arm - good work. Still in half guard, Dog seems content to control. House is defending against the submission attempts here by Dog.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dog looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dog is keen to just control but House is a slippery customer. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dog looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Dog is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so House is just riding it out for now. Dog eventually gives up the hold. Dog passes to side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

House throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Nice body punch from House. Dog ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dog no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dog kicks House off and gets to his feet. Dog moves in looking to clinch but House pushes him off. Dog changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. House tries to avoid it but Dog manages to keep hold of a leg and drag House to the ground. House escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dog Dog. That's going to take a lot out of him. House fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
House should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dog shoots in but no luck this time. Dog looks to clinch and House counters with a three punch combo that has Dog backing up. Dog nods at House to acknowledge the strikes. Gregg House seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. House swinging wildly here.

Dog closes the distance and clinches up with House, looking for a takedown. Dog pushes House against the cage but House circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dog fails with a takedown attempt. Dog fails in his attempt to clinch. House keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. House displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dog. Donk. House catches Dog right on the button with a cross. Dog fails with a takedown attempt. Dog gets a clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dog Dog will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gregg House's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dog gets a double leg takedown into House's guard. House takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. House keeping moving, preventing Dog from controlling successfully.

Dog is sneakily working for an arm triangle but House sees it coming and defends easily. Dog will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dog wants to take a breather but House is having none of it. Dog is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, House has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dog moves into full mount! House won't be happy about that! Dog sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Both fighters are looking very determined. Dog is looking for the choke from the back position but House is controlling his hands well. Dog Dog overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. You can see the frustration on House's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

And that's the end of the fight! Dog Dog showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dog, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
