Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tim Story (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Kier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Story comes to the cage accompanied by Yo my BITCH now!!!. Story is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Don Kier has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tim Story! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Don Kier! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kier drives through with a takedown into Story's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Story is breathing heavily. Kier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Story swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kier lands a couple of digs. Kier is stalling in the full guard. Kier tries to free his leg and advance position but Story is retaining full guard. Kier wants to stand but Story is controlling his posture from full guard. Story utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kier is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kier trying to control but Story is working from the bottom.
Don Kier has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Story has his takedown stuffed and Kier counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Story enables Kier to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Story manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Story has a closed guard, preventing Kier from standing up. Kier is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Story keeping moving, preventing Kier from controlling successfully.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Don Kier wasn't active enough on the ground. Kier fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Story to the ground. Kier is now in Story's guard. Kier stands and steps away. Story gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kier looking to score a takedown here. Story is defending well but Kier drives through and ends up in Story's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Story tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kier pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Story is keeping the position for now. Kier slips nicely into half guard. Kier is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kier winds up and cracks Story with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kier wants to take a breather but Story is having none of it. Kier thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kier content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kier wants to stand but Story has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kier slows the pace down in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kier is trying to control. Story wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kier might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Story kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Don Kier was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kier shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Story is trying to defend but Kier finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Kier looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Story is looking for a sweep. Kier is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Story has hold of Kier's hands but Kier slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kier works his way into side control. Story taking a bit of punishment here - Kier scoring with strikes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kier works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Kier staying calm. Kier has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Kier dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kier shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Story manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kier passes Story's left leg - he's now in half guard. Kier content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Kier wants to work for an arm triangle but Story is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Story won't allow Kier to pass to mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kier is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Story has managed to free his arm - good work. Story wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kier seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Story does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Story gets full guard. Kier slips nicely into half guard. Story actively working from the bottom here. Kier trying to control the pace. Kier decides to stand up. Kier looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kier working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Story wants to get back to full guard. Kier tries to pass to full mount but Story defends it. Story is trying to get back to full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Kier is looking for a kimura but Story is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kier to get the leverage. Kier takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. It looks like Kier is going to stand back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Story is trying to get back to full guard. Kier is looking to take a break and control but Story is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Story won't allow Kier to pass to mount. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Don Kier was stalling too much, according to the referee. Story shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kier closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kier prevents Story from improving his position. Kier seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Story does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kier scoring with strikes to the body and head. Kier seems to be working for a kimura but Story defends the submission attempt. Story tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Kier working the head and body with strikes. Kier wants to control but Story is keeping him busy. Story gets full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Story looking to sweep here. No luck so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kier sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Story's guard. Kier decides to stand up. Kier throws a sloppy head kick and Story moves out of range easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Kier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Story closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Story lands in his opponent's guard. Kier is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Story is aware though and is defending well. Kier looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Story pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kier is keeping the position for now. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kier is on top in guard.

Kier throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Story tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kier is in Story's guard. Kier with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Kier scoring with punches to the head and body. Kier trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Story is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kier decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Kier will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kier closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Story's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Story is looking for a triangle but Kier pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kier trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Story looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kier is one step ahead there. Story throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kier escapes and throws Story's legs to the side, diving into side control! Kier is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Story is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Tim Story has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Story is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kier advances to mount. Kier with good strikes from the mount here!
Story is rocked! Kier raining down hammerfists from mount. Oh Story is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Kier sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. A nice elbow there by Kier. Story in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Kier lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns Story that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kier looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kier lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Kier swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
