Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lee Chao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patryk Szczerbiec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chao comes to the cage accompanied by Metallica-The Unforgiven. Patryk Szczerbiec struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chao with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Szczerbiec to score with a decent uppercut.
Chao changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Szczerbiec tries to avoid it but Chao manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Szczerbiec to the ground. Szczerbiec escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chao looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Szczerbiec is fending him off so far but Chao persists. Nope, Szczerbiec circles away and we're back to standing.
Chao takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Chao dives in and grabs Szczerbiec's left leg, looking for a takedown. Szczerbiec pushes down on Chao's head and hops out.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Chao here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

After winning the bout, Lee Chao thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
