Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Krueger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janis Lusis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krueger's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Freddy's Coming For You. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krueger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lusis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Krueger looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Lusis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Krueger.
Lusis lands with a right hand.
Lusis dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Krueger sizes up Lusis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Krueger scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Lusis fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Krueger is out of range.

Krueger has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lusis finds it's way round the side to connect with Krueger's head.

Krueger throws a solid leg kick but Lusis takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Krueger.

Lusis cracks a nice hook into Krueger's ribs.
Lusis feints and then cracks Krueger's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Krueger down.
Krueger loads up on a big right hand but Lusis slips the punch.

Krueger has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Lusis's body.

Krueger seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lusis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Freddy Krueger.
Well Lusis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
