Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Conteh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jin Takeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jin Takeda will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Conteh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jin Takeda! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Conteh. Takeda does a little dance to reset his feet. Takeda misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Conteh.
Conteh wants to clinch up but Takeda keeps it at a distance. Takeda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Takeda throws a jab but it's blocked by Conteh. Nice shot lands for Conteh. Takeda throws a jab when Conteh was well out of range. Conteh throws a hook but Takeda blocks it. Conteh takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Takeda shoots for a double leg takedown but Conteh sprawls well. He's pushed Takeda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jin Takeda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takeda shoots in looking for a takedown. Conteh tries to sprawl out of it but Takeda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Conteh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. John Conteh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jin Takeda. Conteh tries to close the distance and clinch but Takeda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Takeda swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Conteh leaves Takeda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Conteh looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takeda will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Takeda on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Jin Takeda has been cut. Takeda throws a right hand that misses
and Conteh counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Nice jab there from Conteh. John Conteh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Conteh scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Takeda doesn't seem bothered though. Takeda throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Conteh gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Conteh, as that shot connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Takeda shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Conteh wants to stand and escape but Takeda is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takeda wants to control from the top but Conteh keeps moving.
Jin Takeda has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Takeda misses with a hook to the body
and Conteh counters with a straight right hand. Takeda is trying hard to land a takedown here. Conteh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Conteh gets a clinch. Takeda goes for a takedown in the clinch but Conteh prevents it.
Conteh misses with the head strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conteh stalls. A battle for position here, against the cage. Takeda tries for a takedown but Conteh manages to get underhooks.
Takeda gets control of Conteh's arms and successfully pulls guard. Takeda will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Conteh tries to stand but Takeda is controlling from the bottom. Takeda has his foot on Conteh's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Conteh works his way back into a safe position though. Takeda is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Conteh is aware though and is defending well. Takeda is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Conteh stands and steps away. Takeda gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Conteh wants to clinch up but Takeda keeps it at a distance. Takeda takes a swing at Conteh's ribcage but misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takeda throws a predictable looking body shot
and Conteh counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Takeda closes this distance looking for a takedown but Conteh circles away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Takeda throws a head kick but Conteh moves out of range.
Conteh punishes Takeda's body with a nice straight punch. Takeda looks gassed! Takeda swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A shot to the liver by Conteh. Beautiful body shot. Conteh swings for the body but Takeda moves out of range.
The fight moves into the clinch position. A short uppercut from Conteh. Takeda wants to take the fight to the mat but Conteh manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. A right hook to the body lands for Conteh.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Conteh lands a nice uppercut. Takeda wants a takedown but no success here.
Conteh digs a right hand underneath Takeda's ribcage. Takeda let out a lung full of air as it connected. A short right from Conteh on the inside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Conteh dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jin Takeda's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Takeda takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Takeda showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Conteh.
Conteh just misses with a punch to the body.
Conteh walks into a stiff left hand from Takeda. Takeda uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Conteh. Conteh stuffs the takedown. Conteh throws a shot to the body.

Conteh stuffs the takedown attempt from Takeda. Takeda gets slowly back to his feet. Conteh throws a right hand that Takeda ducks under and follows up with a left that Takeda also avoids with ease. Nice shot lands for Conteh. Takeda shoots for a takedown but Conteh saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. John Conteh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jin Takeda. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Takeda looks for a takedown but Conteh sprawls well. Takeda throws a looping overhand right but Conteh ducks down to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Conteh moves into the clinch successfully.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Conteh creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Conteh's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Conteh lands a shot to the body. Conteh lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Takeda backwards. Conteh softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Takeda wants to take the fight to the mat but Conteh manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Conteh with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Conteh putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Takeda in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Takeda is breathing heavily. A short right from Conteh on the inside. Takeda is trying to pull guard but Conteh turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Takeda can't get the takedown.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Conteh lands a right hand that snaps the head of Takeda backwards. Conteh lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Takeda misses with a hook to the ribs.
A short left from Conteh. Conteh prevents a body shot from Takeda. Takeda tries to work over Conteh's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Takeda struggles to land a body shot inside as Conteh controls his hands.

Conteh stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Conteh throws a knee to the head but misses.

Conteh throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Takedas head. Conteh is pushing Takeda up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Conteh lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Takeda backwards.
That has opened up Jin Takeda's cut even more. Conteh lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Conteh creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Takeda's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Takeda drops to his knees and Conteh pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Conteh! After winning the bout, John Conteh thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
