Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Mccarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucas has chosen Jay-Z- American Gangster as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hunter Mccarthy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lucas closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mccarthy quickly recovers to half guard.
Lucas wants to free his trapped foot but Mccarthy is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Mccarthy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lucas on the ground.

Lucas is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mccarthy wants to improve his position but Lucas is controlling well.
Lucas looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Lucas wants to work for an arm triangle but Mccarthy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Lucas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mccarthy defends it well.

Lucas is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mccarthy doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lucas.

Lucas frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Lucas get's back to his feet.

Mccarthy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lucas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lucas explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Lucas fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lucas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mccarthy is fending him off so far but Lucas persists. Nope, Mccarthy circles away and we're back to standing.

Mccarthy shoots in and bounces Lucas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mccarthy trying to control the position from guard on top but Lucas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lucas looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Lucas working for a triangle but Mccarthy defends it easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lucas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mccarthy defends it easily.

Lucas pushes Mccarthy off and scrambles back to his feet.

Mccarthy throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Lucas drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lucas is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Lucas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lucas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mccarthy trying to control the position.
Mccarthy is breathing heavily.

Lucas decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Mccarthy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lucas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mccarthy was covering up waiting for the punch and Lucas finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lucas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lucas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lucas works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lucas works his way into side control.

Lucas decides to stand back up. Lucas steps back and let's Mccarthy get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Lucas dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Lucas feints and as Mccarthy raises his hands in defense, Lucas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lucas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mccarthy is keeping the position for now.

Lucas drops back looking for a leg! Mccarthy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mccarthy manages to kick Lucas off! Lucas jumps back into Mccarthy's guard.

Lucas stands up from Mccarthy's guard - Lucas perhaps looking for a knockout.
Hunter Mccarthy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Mccarthy has closed the distance and engaged Lucas in a clinch.
Lucas is working for takedown but Mccarthy is calmly controlling the position for now.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lucas wants the takedown. Mccarthy is fighting it off but Lucas persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mccarthy's guard against the cage.

Lucas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lucas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mccarthy tries to improve position but can't.
Frank Lucas has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lucas stands up and beckons Mccarthy to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lucas enables Mccarthy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lucas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Lucas pushes Mccarthy off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lucas gets the takedown into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Lucas has hold of Mccarthy's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mccarthy tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lucas cranks the arm and Mccarthy screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mccarthy, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Frank Lucas!
Our winner, Frank Lucas, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
