The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jagermeister throws a right and a left that Niittynen avoids nicely.
Niittynen misses with a hook. Jagermeister ducked under it nicely.
Jab, jab by Jagermeister - just one landing.
Niittynen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jagermeister.
Niittynen misses with an uppercut.
Niittynen misses the jab.
A combination from Jagermeister does no damage.
Jagermeister swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Niittynen counters with a left hand that sends Jagermeister to the canvas!
Jagermeister is rocked!
Niittynen passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Oh Jagermeister is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Niittynen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Jagermeister is not content to let Niittynen control the position.

Niittynen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Niittynen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Niittynen with the ground and pound but Jagermeister regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Jagermeister seems to have got his legs back now.
Niittynen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jagermeister is just riding it out for now. Niittynen eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Niittynen is pressing down on Jagermeister's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jagermeister is holding on for now.
Niittynen sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jagermeister defending well though.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jagermeister lands a head kick that stumbles Niittynen and the fighters go to the mat.
Niittynen is rocked!
It looks like Jari Niittynen has been cut.

Jagermeister decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
