Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adam Pentalley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rudy Sosa! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sosa moves into the clinch. Sosa tightens his grip and picks Pentalley up, before dumping him to the ground. Pentalley manages to land in guard. Sosa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Sosa wants to stand but Pentalley has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sosa scoring with punches to the head and body. Sosa trying to control but Pentalley is working from the bottom. Sosa gets to his feet - Pentalley follows without any prompting. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sosa is defended easily by Pentalley.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Sosa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pentalley thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sosa if he has to take too many more of those.
Pentalley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sosa. Sosa throws a right and a left that both miss. Horrible takedown by Sosa or perhaps it was just good defense by Pentalley which made him look bad. Pentalley moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Sosa looks gassed! Sosa gets in close and instigates a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Pentalley as Sosa tries to tie him up. Sosa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pentalley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Adam Pentalley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Pentalley scores with a head kick. Sosa tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sosa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pentalley circles away. Pentalley clinches. Pentalley leaning against his opponent.

Sosa on the wrong end of a nice jab. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sosa has eaten all the pies! Pentalley looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pentalley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Pentalley looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Adam Pentalley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pentalley scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Pentalley moves into range and clinches up with Sosa.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pentalley is trying to trip Sosa. He has hold of a leg but Sosa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Pentalley persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Pentalley cracks Sosa with a solid left hand. Pentalley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Pentalley landing with the ground and pound. Pentalley controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sosa is working an open guard so Pentalley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pentalley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sosa moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pentalley moves into the clinch. Sosa is fighting off a takedown attempt but Pentalley is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sosa to the mat. Sosa regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pentalley lands a couple of digs. Pentalley slips nicely into half guard. Pentalley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pentalley is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pentalley in particular looking to stall. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sosa is trying to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pentalley fails to land the takedown. Sosa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sosa working the ground and pound but Pentalley is defending the strikes. Sosa is chipping away with strikes.
Sosa decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pentalley to his feet. Sosa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pentalley wants to stand but Sosa is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sosa trying to control but Pentalley is working from the bottom. Pentalley wants to stand and escape but Sosa is having none of it. Sosa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pentalley is keeping the position for now. Sosa trying to control the position from guard on top but Pentalley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Rudy Sosa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A combination from Pentalley does no damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sosa misses with a takedown and Pentalley counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Pentalley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sosa pinned against the cage. Sosa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Pentalley looking to score a takedown here. Sosa is defending well but Pentalley drives through and ends up in Sosa's guard. Sosa keeping moving, preventing Pentalley from controlling successfully. Pentalley works a leg free and moves into half guard. Sosa looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sosa tries to get to full guard but Pentalley has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sosa is not content to let Pentalley control the position. Pentalley stands up from half guard. Sosa takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Pentalley fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sosa. Pentalley throws a right hand that Sosa ducks under and follows up with a left that Sosa also avoids with ease. Pentalley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sosa. Sosa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pentalley looks to land a combination but Sosa avoids it well. Sosa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pentalley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Adam Pentalley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rudy Sosa. A right-left combo lands from Pentalley. Adam Pentalley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pentalley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pentalley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sosa's waist but Sosa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pentalley off to one side. Sosa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pentalley throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pentalley throws a right hand that Sosa ducks under and follows up with a left that Sosa also avoids with ease. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Adam Pentalley will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

That's going to take a lot out of Rudy Sosa. Pentalley closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Pentalley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Pentalley sitting and controlling from the half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pentalley is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sosa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pentalley. Adam Pentalley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sosa is trying to get back to full guard. Pentalley is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pentalley wants to take a breather but Sosa is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Pentalley decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Pentalley lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Pentalley lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Sosa moves into the clinch. Pentalley gets a trip takedown into half guard. Pentalley controlling from the top position. Pentalley gets to his feet - Sosa follows without any prompting. Sosa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Pentalley scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Nice straight punches there by Pentalley. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Pentalley. Sosa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Pentalley keeping moving, preventing Sosa from controlling successfully. Adam Pentalley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sosa looking to sit in guard and control but Pentalley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sosa wants to stand and escape but Pentalley is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Pentalley showed his dominance in that final round. Well Pentalley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
