The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plonkington getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Rakker fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rakker jabs Plonkington right on the nose. Plonkington blinks but takes it well.
It looks like Carl Plonkington has been cut.
Rakker scores with a three punch combo!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Plonkington drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Plonkington scores with a jab to the head.
Plonkington ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rakker moves away.
Plonkington throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rakker moves into range and connects with a jab.
Rakker scores with a nice head shot.
Plonkington is rocked!
Carl Plonkington's cut is getting worse.
Plonkington feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rakker's calf.
A telegraphed right hand from Rakker misses the target.
Rakker lands a head shot.
Oh Plonkington is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Plonkington fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Plonkington seems to have got his legs back now.
Plonkington misses with a body shot
and Rakker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Plonkington thinking.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Plonkington misses with a left hand
and Rakker counters with a nice right hand that sends Plonkington toppling to the canvas! Plonkington scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Rakker finish him?!
A combination from Rakker does no damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Plonkington misses with a straight right.
Rakker lands a left and a right that send Plonkington crashing to the mat, dazed. Rakker thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Carl Plonkington's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Rakker lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
