Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robert Rath (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liu Kanki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Rath!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Liu Kanki!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanki jabs Rath to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rath keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rath pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Rath tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kanki is able to avoid easily.
Kanki misses with the combination.
Kanki checks a leg kick.
Kanki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rath moves away.
Kanki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kanki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rath paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kanki just misses with a punch to the body.
Kanki misses with a double jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rath.
Rath takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kanki works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kanki misses with a straight left.
Kanki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rath manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kanki misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rath.
Rath tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kanki is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rath rather than just go for the knockout.
A jab from Kanki misses.
Kanki cracks Rath with an open hand slap.

Rath shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Rath seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kanki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee warns Kanki that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Kanki is in a horrible position here. Rath smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Kanki is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rath pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Rath postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kanki looks a forlorn figure.

Kanki is bucking up trying to escape but Rath cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Rath has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rath is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kanki can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rath loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Kanki scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rath land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rath stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Rath!
A very excited looking Robert Rath made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
