Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Tulmuch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Hall! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tulmuch closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hall to the mat! Hall manages to get full guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Hall not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tulmuch controls from within his opponent's guard. Tulmuch throwing strikes but missing. Hall is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Tulmuch controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Trevor Tulmuch. A decent looking cross lands there for Hall. Hall keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hall misses with a few strikes there.
Hall lands a jab-cross combination. Ray Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall throws a series of punches but Tulmuch avoids them all with ease. Tulmuch fails with a takedown attempt. Hall misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tulmuch fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trevor Tulmuch. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hall feints a jab promting Tulmuch to slip. Hall then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tulmuch slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Ray Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jab from Hall. Hall throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Tulmuch is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hall. Tulmuch has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Hall works the jab nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hall will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Tulmuch closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hall circles away. Hall misses with a few strikes there.
Tulmuch is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hall sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hall keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hall lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Tulmuch is rocked! Hall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hall wants it to stay on the feet. Hall misses with a series of wild punches.
Tulmuch shoots in but Hall avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hall lands a left and a right that send Tulmuch crashing to the mat, dazed. Hall thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Oh Tulmuch is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hall is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Hall shuts the power down on Tulmuch. Lights out, game over! Hall is your winner.
