Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jukko Hamalainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rin Itoshiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hamalainen comes to the cage accompanied by the Finnish National Anthem. The crowd seem to be enjoying Itoshiki's choice of entrance music: Hito toshite Jiku ga Bureteiru (SZS Mod. Rap ver.). Jukko Hamalainen could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rin Itoshiki's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rin Itoshiki!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Itoshiki has Hamalainen up against the cage in a clinch.
Itoshiki tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hamalainen avoids it.
Hamalainen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hamalainen is trying to break the clinch but Itoshiki is controlling him.
Itoshiki lands a nice elbow.


It looks like Jukko Hamalainen has been cut.

Itoshiki has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hamalainen clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Itoshiki pushes Hamalainen off and scrambles back to his feet.
Rin Itoshiki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Itoshiki slaps away a takedown attempt from Hamalainen, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Itoshiki throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hamalainen.

and Hamalainen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Itoshiki won't be happy with that.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rin Itoshiki wasn't active enough on the ground.

That's time! Hamalainen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Itoshiki counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hamalainen's knee momentarily.
Itoshiki moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Itoshiki goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Hamalainen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
