The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Martel takes a swing at Torres's ribcage but misses.
Martel checks a leg kick nicely.
Torres throws a leg kick that is checked
and Martel counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Martel with a jab.
Torres is rocked!
Torres misses with a low kick.
Torres is still on wobbly legs! Can Martel finish him?
Martel blocks a head kick by Torres.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Martel.
Martel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Torres seems to have recovered his senses.
Torres throws a leg kick
and Martel counters with a nice uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Martel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Torres moves away.
Martel uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Torres.
Martel scores with a leg kick.
Martel swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Torres throws a lazy head kick
and Martel counters with a nice body shot.
Martel on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Torres attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Martel misses with a looping left.

Torres throws a left and a right that both miss
and Martel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A low kick from Torres misses
and Martel counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Torres! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Martel!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Martel!
A relieved looking Charles Martel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
