Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Belousov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gab Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sebastian Belousov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gab Contreras! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belousov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Belousov wants to get back to his feet.
Belousov throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Contreras to regain full guard. Belousov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Belousov is looking to work some ground and pound but Contreras has wrist control. Contreras managing to control the position. Belousov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Contreras is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Belousov with a nice head shot there. Belousov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Belousov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Contreras's head. Belousov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Contreras is trying to control the position but Belousov postures up. Belousov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Contreras pushes Belousov off and scrambles back to his feet.
Contreras takes a swing at Belousov's ribcage but misses. Belousov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Contreras counters with a left to the body. Belousov shoots and misses and Contreras counters with a takedown into side control. Contreras takes a little break here. Belousov wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Belousov tries to improve position but can't. This has been an exciting period of action! Belousov manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Belousov is thwarting Contreras's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Contreras has his hands clasped together around Belousov's back. He's all about the action. It looks like Belousov is going to stand back up.
Contreras actively working from the bottom here. Contreras is not content to let Belousov control the position. Belousov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Contreras can do anything to dispel that myth. Belousov blocks the strikes from Contreras.
Contreras tries to get to full guard but Belousov has control of the leg. Contreras is staying active underneath Belousov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Belousov prevents Contreras from improving his position. Contreras is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Belousov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Contreras is just riding it out for now. Belousov eventually gives up the hold. Belousov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Nice strikes from Belousov there. Belousov not landing any meaningful shots this time. Contreras has his hands clasped together around Belousov's back. He's all about the action. Belousov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Contreras's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Contreras tries to roll over but Belousov keeps him under control. Ground and pound from Belousov. Belousov is nestled in close to Contreras, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Belousov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Contreras makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Belousov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Contreras manages to avoid it. Belousov doesn't succeed with the takedown and Contreras counters with a single leg into guard. Belousov didn't expect that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Gab Contreras will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Belousov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Contreras paws at him with a jab and circles away. Contreras throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Belousov. Belousov shoots and misses and Contreras cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Contreras lands a glancing blow to the side of Belousov's head. Belousov takes a shot right to the bread basket. Contreras misses with a wild body shot. Contreras misses with a hook. Belousov ducked under it nicely. Belousov gets caught napping as Contreras dives in and scores a takedown. Belousov manages to retain guard. Belousov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Contreras is aware though and is defending well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Belousov looking for a sweep. Not yet Belousov, not yet. Belousov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Belousov looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Contreras is stalling in the full guard. Contreras stands up from Belousov's guard - Contreras perhaps looking for a knockout. Belousov tries to clinch up and Contreras counters with a nice double leg into side control. Belousov won't be happy with that. Contreras is looking to take a break and control but Belousov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Contreras stands up and we're back to a striking position. Belousov with a poor takedown and Contreras counters with a shoot takedown. Belousov fights it but they end up in guard. Gab Contreras has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Contreras trying to control the position from guard on top but Belousov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Contreras must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Belousov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Contreras defends it easily. Contreras pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Belousov is keeping the position for now. Belousov wants to sweep here but Contreras controlling him for the moment. Contreras chips away with some ground and pound. Belousov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Contreras won't allow Belousov to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Contreras decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Belousov, up you get! Sebastian Belousov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Contreras throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Contreras misses with a two punch combination.
Contreras throws a right and a left that both miss. Belousov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Contreras counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sebastian Belousov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Contreras lands a jab to the head.
Belousov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Contreras.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Belousov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Contreras counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Belousov thinking. Contreras connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Sebastian Belousov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Contreras misses with a hook. Contreras keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Belousov is rocked! Belousov throws a wild hook but Contreras just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Belousov gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Contreras raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gab Contreras!
