Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin misses with a takedown
and Irene counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Austin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Irene works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Austin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Irene sprawls well. Irene wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Austin gets slowly back to his feet.
Irene closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Austin's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Austin looking for subs off his back but Irene has passed one foot through into half guard.
Austin wants to get back to full guard.

Irene connects with a couple of short punches.
Irene won't allow Austin to sweep him here.
Austin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Irene doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Irene manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Austin pulls Irene in close to prevent any damage.
Irene trying to control the position from guard on top but Austin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Austin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Irene escapes and throws Austin's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Irene wants to control but Austin is keeping him busy.
Irene lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Austin down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Irene trying to control the action but Austin is working from the bottom.
Austin pushes Irene away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Irene gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That's time! Austin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Irene fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Austin avoids it really well and circles away.
Austin dives in and grabs Irene's left leg, looking for a takedown. Irene pushes down on Austin's head and hops out.
Irene lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Austin at a distance.
Irene lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Irene, right into the meat.
Austin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Austin shoots in for a double leg but Irene sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Irene lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Austin gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Austin on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Irene scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Austin doesn't seem bothered though.
Irene throws a nice inside leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Austin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Irene pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fighters circle momentarily. Irene darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Irene keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Goodnight Irene seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Oh Austin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Goodnight Irene seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Irene digs a right hand underneath Austin's ribcage. Austin let out a lung full of air as it connected.
