Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Artie Dundee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Max Pain! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pain misses with a two punch combination.
Pain connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dundee's hands. Pain throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pain throws a combination that misses and Dundee counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pain won't be happy with that. Pain is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Dundee cracks Pain with a big elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. An elbow from Dundee crashes against the mat.
Dundee controls the position. Dundee working the ground and pound but Pain is defending the strikes. Pain takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Pain managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dundee.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pain is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dundee connects with a decent elbow. Dundee working the ground and pound but Pain is defending the strikes. Pain is being controlled here. Check out the look on Dundee's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Dundee cracks Pain with an elbow. That is naaassty. Dundee grinds an elbow into Pain's temple.
Pain is rocked! Pain looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action! Dundee tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Dundee works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Pain is still in real trouble! Can Dundee finish him? Dundee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Dundee in side control lands a decent elbow. Pain seems to have recovered his senses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pain taking punishment in the form of punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pain is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Pain is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dundee connects with a decent elbow. Dundee throws a strike aimed at the side of Pain's head but Pain avoids it well. Dundee scores with a couple of short elbows. Dundee lands a strong strike to the head of Pain. That's dazed him! Dundee looking to finish here. Pain is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Dundee lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
