Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glenardo Gonzalezz! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Price! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price tries to clinch up. Gonzalezz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gonzalezz shoots in for a takedown but Price shows good takedown defense. Price keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Price tries to clinch there but Gonzalezz circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Price with a lazy takedown attempt and Gonzalezz counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Price!
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalezz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Price manages to avoid the submission attempt. Gonzalezz working away. Gonzalezz tries for a kimura but Price is defending well. Gonzalezz wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Price, who protects the arm well. Gonzalezz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gonzalezz tries for a kimura but Price is defending well. Price sneaks back into half guard. Price gets full guard. Price working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gonzalezz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gonzalezz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Price is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzalezz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Price swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gonzalezz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Gonzalezz is breathing heavily. Price had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gonzalezz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Price Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gonzalezz's back instead. Gonzalezz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gonzalezz tries to roll but Price sticks to his back.

This has been an exciting period of action! Gonzalezz rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonzalezz is in trouble now - Price has advanced to mount! Price working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Gonzalezz turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Price off and cradles Gonzalezz's limp body as Price celebrates with his corner.
