Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Blake The Snake! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Lee does no damage. The Snake feints and as Lee raises his hands in defense, The Snake changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lee keeping moving, preventing The Snake from controlling successfully. Lee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lee is trying to control the position but The Snake postures up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as The Snake accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but The Snake is one step ahead there. Lee doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee trying to keep a closed guard but The Snake is proving a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lee tries to bum rush The Snake with a series of wild strikes but The Snake uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The Snake has managed to clinch.
The Snake has Lee pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. The Snake pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lee tumbling to the mat - The Snake dives into Lee's guard. The Snake looks gassed! Lee is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Lee wants to sweep here but The Snake controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee managing to control the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lee throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Lee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lee wants to stand but The Snake is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lee looking for a guillotine here but The Snake defends easily.
Lee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but The Snake can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lee has his feet on The Snake's thighs here. He's pushed The Snake off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! The Snake screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
