Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Holder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barron comes into the arena with Dizzee Rascal - Bonkers blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Phillip Barron! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luke Holder! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holder slips under a jab from Barron. Barron tries to bum rush Holder with a series of wild strikes but Holder uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Barron ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A nice combination there by Barron.
Holder scores with a nice right hand.
Barron is trying hard to land a takedown here. Holder sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Holder tries to clinch but Barron moves out of range. Holder ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Barron tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Holder manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Holder does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Holder avoids the head kick by Barron.
Holder chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Barron can pounce on him.
Barron works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Barron pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Holder sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Barron to the ground! Holder dives into full mount looking to finish!
Barron is rocked!
It looks like Phillip Barron has been cut. Barron tries to reverse the position but Holder maintains control. Oh Barron is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. Holder controlling from mount. Barron seems to have got his legs back now. Barron regains half guard. Holder prevents Barron from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barron is looking to control Holder's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Barron avoid being mounted? Barron is looking for a sweep. Holder is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Holder is thwarting Barron's attempts to control the position. Barron is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Holder keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Luke Holder has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Barron feints and then cracks Holder's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Holder down. Barron uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Holder.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barron lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Holder displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barron. Barron takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Holder throws a quick inside leg kick. Barron is breathing heavily. Nice shot lands for Holder. Holder thumps Barron with a low kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Holder lands a nice looking body kick. A big head kick from Holder and Barron is sent sprawling to the canvas! Holder sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barron's guard. Holder with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holder throwing shots but Barron is blocking nicely. Holder performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Holder gets to his feet - back to striking we go! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Holder dominated that round. The cut man is working on Phillip Barron's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Holder slaps away a takedown attempt from Barron, before circling back to the center of the mat. Holder lands a high kick!
Barron takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Holder connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Luke Holder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Barron.
Holder lands a leg kick that knocks Barron off balance momentarily. Holder lands with a thumping leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barron throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Luke Holder seems to be getting the better of the standup. The fighters circle, before Holder throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Barron's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Holder lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
