Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Arteta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manres has chosen Aqualung - Jethro Tull as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arteta connects with a nice looking jab.
Some wild striking there from Arteta.
Manres uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Arteta.
Arteta keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Arteta jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Good standup being displayed there by Arteta as he connects with a hook.
Arteta stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Arteta wants it to stay on the feet.
Arteta misses with an uppercut. Manres saw that one coming.
Manres uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Arteta.
Horrible takedown by Manres or perhaps it was just good defense by Arteta which made him look bad.
Diego Arteta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ludwig Manres.

Manres fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A jab from Arteta does it's job there.
Manres takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Arteta scores with a shot to the body.
Manres fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Arteta avoids it really well and circles away.
Manres on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Arteta throws an off balance right hand
and Manres counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Manres wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arteta keeps working.

Manres is looking to stall here but Arteta recovers full guard.
Manres postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Arteta is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Manres, into his guard.
Manres looking to hit a scissor sweep but Arteta is one step ahead there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Manres seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Ludwig Manres has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Manres tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Arteta swivels and escapes.
Arteta's corner calls for a 1-2. Arteta obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Arteta misses the shot to the body.
Arteta uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Manres shoots for a takedown but Arteta saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Arteta throws a nice looking combination but Manres bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Manres shoots in looking for a takedown but Arteta manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Manres's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Arteta throws a series of punches but Manres avoids them all with ease.
Arteta feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Manress jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Manres moves out of range as Arteta strikes.
Sloppy strikes from Arteta. Those never looked like landing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Manres throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arteta's waist but Arteta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manres off to one side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Manres slips under a jab.
Manres fails to land the takedown.
Manres shoots in but Arteta avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Diego Arteta dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Manres uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Arteta.
Manres shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Arteta to counter with a crisp jab.
Arteta will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Arteta is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Diego Arteta is winning the standup battle so far.
Arteta lands with a straight right. Manres didn't see that one coming.
Arteta misses with a two punch combination.
Arteta lands a jab.
Manres takes one on the button.
Manres is rocked!

Arteta swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Manres is still on wobbly legs! Can Arteta finish him?
Manres uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Arteta.
Arteta cracks Manres's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Manres slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Arteta can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Diego Arteta!
After the fight, Diego Arteta was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
