Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Hardly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gein comes into the arena with Dead Skin Mask blaring out of the sound system. Hardly has chosen Eminem- Not Afraid as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Hardly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gein avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hardly wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Hardly looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gein throws out a loose jab but Hardly uses good head movement to avoid it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gein.
Hardly scores with a push kick.

and Hardly makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Gein really felt that one!

Hardly chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gein can pounce on him.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Hardly's corner calls for a 1-2. Hardly obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters circle momentarily. Hardly darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Hardly is rocked!
Gein is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Hardly flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Hardly is out cold! Gein holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
