Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bublasaur Venusaur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smokey McPot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Venusaur might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bulbasaur bongo bebop. McPot has chosen D.T.A.P. - Nephew as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPot fails in his attempt to clinch.

Venusaur throws a blind hook that connects with the side of McPots head.
Venusaur breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McPot tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Venusaur counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. McPot is lucky that one didn't land flush.
McPot tries to close the distance and clinch but Venusaur swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McPot instigates a clinch.
Venusaur lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Venusaur gets through McPot's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bublasaur Venusaur will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Venusaur counters with a good, hard body kick but McPot shrugs it off.
No joy there for McPot, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Smokey McPot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McPot throws a right hand that Venusaur ducks under and follows up with a left that Venusaur also avoids with ease.
