Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Connor Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Reggie Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jackson.

Jackson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Reynolds wants to get back to his feet but Jackson drags him back down.
You can see the frustration on Reynolds's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Jackson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reynolds, who protects the arm well.

Jackson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jackson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jackson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jackson is breathing heavily.
Reynolds is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jackson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Reynolds is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jackson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Reynolds has escaped the position, nice work there.
Reynolds is pushing Jackson's head away, looking to escape. Jackson manages to hold on to the position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Reynolds swinging wilding here.
Jackson on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Reynolds rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jackson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A left and a right from Reynolds both land. Nice combination.
A bone on bone clash there as Jackson blocks the leg kick.
A punch combination from Reynolds misses.
Jackson looks for a takedown but Reynolds sprawls well.
Reynolds stalks Jackson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jackson's face. Jackson staggers backwards, shaken.

Jackson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Oh Jackson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reynolds is refusing to be controlled, as Jackson sits in half guard.
Jackson seems to have got his legs back now.

Jackson wants to pass the guard but Reynolds is defending well.

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Reynolds is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.

Reynolds is not content to let Jackson control the position.

Jackson is looking for a kimura but Reynolds is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jackson to get the leverage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson is trying to control the action in half guard but Reynolds is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Connor Jackson dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Reynolds cracks Jackson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reynolds but Reynolds pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Reynolds keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Reggie Reynolds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reynolds misses with a two punch combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.

Reynolds ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Reynolds manages to get himself to full guard.
Jackson throws a big right hand that misses.

Jackson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Reynolds, up you get!
Reynolds jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Jackson shoots in and drives through. Reynolds sprawls well.

Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reynolds swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reynolds wants to stand and escape but Jackson is having none of it.

Reynolds is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Reynolds really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Reynolds throws a series of strikes that have Jackson backpedaling.
Reynolds drops Jackson with a nice combination! Reynolds dives into Jackson's guard, looking to finish!

Jackson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Reynolds is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jackson.
Jackson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Reynolds's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Reynolds is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Reynolds takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jackson works his way into side control.

Jackson is working to tighten is grip on Reynolds's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Reynolds has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Jackson is really squeezing tight and eventually Reynolds passes out! Jackson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
