Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timo Kuikka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stavros Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Timo Kuikka has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timo Kuikka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stavros Kent!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kuikka looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kent.

Kent is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kuikka knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Kent decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Kent shoots in but no luck this time.
Kent tries to close the distance and clinch but Kuikka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kent fails with an attempt to clinch.
Stavros Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kent fails with a takedown attempt.
Kent avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kent throws a hook to the side of Kuikka's head but Kuikka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kent.
Timo Kuikka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stavros Kent.

Kuikka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kent's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kent is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kuikka is in trouble now - Kent has advanced to mount!

Kent is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Kent feints and as Kuikka raises his hands in defense, Kent changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kuikka pushes Kent off and gets back to his feet.
Kent throws a nice looking combination but Kuikka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kent has his takedown stuffed

and Kuikka counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kuikka.
Kent tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kuikka just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kent gets underhooks to prevent Kuikka's takedown attempt.

Kent drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kent is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kent drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kent jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Kuikka looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kent has gone for a leg lock! Kuikka slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kent wants to get back to his feet but Kuikka is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kuikka pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kent is keeping the position for now.
Kuikka has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kent is proving hard to escape from.
Kuikka has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kent utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kuikka avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kuikka sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kent's guard.

Kent looking for submissions off his back.
Kent is pressing down on Kuikka's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kuikka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kent swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kent is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Kuikka rolls with it to try and escape but Kent cranks on the arm and Kuikka is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
