Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joni Johnsso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Django Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Django Flash is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joni Johnsso!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Django Flash!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnsso looks for a takedown but Flash sprawls well.

Johnsso gets a takedown into half guard.
Flash tries to kick Johnsso off but Johnsso keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Johnsso is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Flash is just riding it out for now. Johnsso eventually gives up the hold.
Flash moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Flash wants to sweep here but Johnsso controlling him for the moment.
Flash is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Johnsso is controlling him.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Johnsso is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Flash not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Flash sizes up Johnsso with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Johnsso shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Flash pinned against the cage. Flash gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Flash just misses with a punch to the body.

Johnsso gets the takedown into side control.

Johnsso is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Flash is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Flash tries to bench press Johnsso off him but Johnsso keeps the position.
Flash gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The fighters are battling for position here. Flash manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Johnsso wants to pass the guard but Flash is keeping the position.

Flash catches Johnsso with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Johnsso shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Flash pinned against the cage. Flash gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joni Johnsso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Flash dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Johnsso drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Flash trying to keep a closed guard but Johnsso is proving a slippery customer.
Flash is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Johnsso is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Flash is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Flash has escaped and now he's on top!
Johnsso is breathing heavily.
Flash trying to control but Johnsso is working from the bottom.

Johnsso is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Flash wants to get up but he can't break Johnsso's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Flash is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Flash has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Johnsso escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Flash gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Flash wants to control from the top but Johnsso keeps moving.
Flash sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joni Johnsso will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!



Johnsso decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Django Flash just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Johnsso fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Flash connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Joni Johnsso is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Johnsso shoots for a double leg takedown but Flash sprawls well. He's pushed Johnsso's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Flash.
Nice uppercut there from Flash.
A jab lands there for Flash.
Flash cracks a nice hook into Johnsso's ribs.
Johnsso needs to keep his hands up - Flash had a free shot at his head there.


Johnsso is rocked!
Flash misses with a straight left.
Oh Johnsso is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Johnsso takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Flash cracks Johnsso with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Flash cracks Johnsso with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Johnsso falls to his knees and Flash doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Django Flash!
