Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evan Sherls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan Sherls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Little!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherls looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Sherls closes this distance looking for a takedown but Little circles away.

Sherls clinches up with Little and pushes him back against the cage.

Little breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Little slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.


It looks like Evan Sherls has been cut.
Sherls tries to clinch but Little is having none of it.
Sherls misses with a looping right.
Sherls is looking to slow Little down with leg kicks.
Little tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Sherls counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Little really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sherls. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.Little blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sherls.
Sherls is tying to control. Little wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Little wants to control but Sherls is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Little tries to get to full guard but Sherls has control of the leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fighters circling - Little throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sherls drives through and clinches with Little against the cage.
Sherls is working for takedown but Little is calmly controlling the position for now.

Sherls breaks the clinch.
Sherls wants to clinch.
Little lands the left hand.
Little missing with a left hand there. Sherls was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sherls is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sherls tries for a takedown but Little sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan Sherls. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Little rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Sherls counters with a shoot takedown. Little fights it but they end up in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Little wants to get back to his feet but Sherls is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sherls stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Little loads up on a big right hand but Sherls slips the punch.
Jab, jab by Little - just one landing.
Sherls shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Little pinned against the cage. Little gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sherls is breathing heavily.
Little misses with a looping right.
A swing and a miss from Little.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Little swats away the attempt to clinch by Sherls.
Little might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Little throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Little is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sherls.

Sherls looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Evan Sherls's cut.
That's time! Sherls's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sherls displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Little throws out the jab.

Sherls shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sherls showed some decent athleticism there.
Little is controlling Sherls's trapped leg to prevent Sherls from advancing to side control.
Sherls looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Little is trying to stand.
Little is breathing heavily.

Sherls is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Little defends it well.
Little wants to control but Sherls is keeping busy.
Little is trying to escape back to his feet but Sherls uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Check out the look on Sherls's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Sherls tries to score with some ground and pound. Little controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Sherls stands up and beckons Little to his feet.
Little throws an overhand right that lands on Sherls's shoulder, as Sherls tries to avoid the shot.

Sherls gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sherls has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Little is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sherls takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Sherls goes for a takedown attempt but Little pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Little throws a looping overhand right but Sherls ducks down to avoid it.
Sherls tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Little misses with an uppercut
and Sherls counters with a leg kick.
Little misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sherls.
Chuck Little seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sherls fails to land with a series of punches.
Sherls misses the shot to the body.
Little loads up on a big right hand but Sherls slips the punch.
Little throws a lazy right hand but Sherls sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Sherls gets the takedown into side control.

Little explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Sherls shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Sherls was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Little is looking to improve his position but Sherls isn't that keen on the idea.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sherls misses with a head shot.
Sherls lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Little is trying to escape the mount but Sherls keeps good control and instead manages to take Little's back.
Sherls scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Little is looking for a way out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sherls struggling to keep hold of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Sherls scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Sherls wants to stand up but Little is controlling the position.

Little is looking to control Sherls's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Little avoid being mounted?

Sherls wants to control the pace but Little is squirming around nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sherls misses with a punch to the head.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Sherls's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Sherls keeps control of the position as Little tries to break free.
Little takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Sherls controlling the position well here. Little rolled but Sherls kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Chuck Little has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Sherls struggling to land strikes to the head as Little covers up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Little trying to get back to his feet but Sherls is in full control for now.
Sherls biding his time, looking for the opening.

Evan Sherls showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sherls, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
