The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Zenofeli shoots in and bounces Lopez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Zenofeli stands up from Lopez's guard - Zenofeli perhaps looking for a knockout.
Lopez lands with a straight right. Zenofeli didn't see that one coming.
Zenofeli throws a right hand that Lopez ducks under and follows up with a left that Lopez also avoids with ease.
A head kick misses from Lopez.
Lopez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lopez misses with an uppercut. Zenofeli saw that one coming.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zenofeli stands up from Lopez's guard - Zenofeli perhaps looking for a knockout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A punch lands to the side of Zenofeli 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Zenofeli shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lopez but Lopez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Zenofeli counters with a single leg into guard. Lopez didn't expect that.
Zenofeli slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Zenofeli slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lopez tries to buck Zenofeli off but Zenofeli is having none of it.
Zenofeli is chipping away with strikes.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Zenofeli tries for a takedown but Lopez circles away easily
and Lopez counters with a series of strikes. Zenofeli will be more careful next time no doubt.

Lopez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zenofeli shoots in looking for a takedown. Lopez tries to sprawl out of it but Zenofeli keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lopez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Efran Zenofeli. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lopez scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Zenofeli manages to mount him!
Zenofeli lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Lopez hang on?

Zenofeli is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Lopez is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Lopez flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Zenofeli anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Lopez and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Zenofeli slips an arm under Lopez chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Zenofeli has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Zenofeli is squeezing on Lopez like an anaconda would it's prey. Lopez fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
