Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Troy Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Marshland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Troy Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Marshland! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller checks a low kick from Marshland. Marshland has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A head kick misses from Marshland. Marshland swings away with a leg kick that misses. Marshland misses with an uppercut
and Marshland takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. An inside leg kick from Marshland misses. Miller looking to score a takedown here. Marshland is defending well but Miller drives through and ends up in Marshland's guard. Miller looking to sit in guard and control but Marshland gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Marshland trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Marshland trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marshland postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Marshland stopping the sweep attempt from Miller.

Miller's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Miller is wriggling around trying to escape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Marshland won't let Miller get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Marshland is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The ref stands the fighters back up. Troy Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground. Miller stalks Marshland and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Marshland's face. Marshland staggers backwards, shaken. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Marshland is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Miller. Miller is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Marshland's half guard. Troy Miller has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Miller lands strikes from half guard.
