The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamorano throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nestle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zamorano as he avoids it easily.

and Zamorano counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Nestle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zamorano takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

and Nestle decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zamorano's guard.
Nestle got a little sloppy there for a moment and Zamorano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nestle has managed to get both his arms back between Zamorano's legs - danger averted.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nestle wants to stand but Zamorano has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Zamorano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nestle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nestle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nestle is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Zamorano is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nestle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zamorano's guard.
Nestle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zamorano keeps working.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Zamorano scores with a counter punch that sends Nestle to the canvas! Zamorano smells blood - he's punishing Nestle with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Nestle has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
