Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Bitag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Greg Dellaria!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bitag shoots in for a takedown but Dellaria shows good takedown defense.
Dellaria works over Bitag's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Ben Bitag has been cut.
Bitag will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
No joy there for Dellaria, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bitag dodges the punch combination from Dellaria.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dellaria is defended easily by Bitag.
Bitag circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bitag shoots for a double leg takedown but Dellaria sprawls well. He's pushed Bitag's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ben Bitag. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dellaria moves into the clinch.
Dellaria has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Dellaria's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Greg Dellaria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dellaria lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bitag circles away quickly and effectively.

Dellaria changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bitag looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dellaria tries to score with some ground and pound. Bitag controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Bitag is pushing Dellaria's head away, looking to escape. Dellaria manages to hold on to the position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bitag manages to get back to half guard.
Dellaria is looking to advance position but Bitag won't allow it.
Dellaria throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bitag manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bitag working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Dellaria.

Bitag looking for a triangle here. Dellaria is fighting it but it looks tight! Bitag pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Dellaria is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Ben Bitag!
A very excited looking Ben Bitag rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
