Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Seagar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Miller might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nero Remix - Feel So Close. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Melvin Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Seagar! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Miller showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Seagar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Seagar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miller is looking to advance position but Seagar has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Seagar avoids the attempt from Miller to control. Miller tries to get back to half guard but can't. Miller regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller tries to roll over but Seagar keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miller is trying to control but can't.

Miller is looking for a sweep. Seagar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Seagar throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Miller to regain full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seagar throws a strike but Miller rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Miller pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Seagar is keeping the position for now. Miller trying to control but Seagar is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller is looking to advance position but Seagar has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Seagar misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Miller kicks off Seagar and gets to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Miller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Seagar! Seagar tries to hold on but Miller postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Miller gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Miller shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Seagar tries to reverse the position but Miller maintains control. Miller jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Seagar manages to avoid the submission attempt. Miller is breathing heavily. Miller working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Seagar struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seagar prevents Miller from improving position. Miller is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Seagar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Check out the look on Miller's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miller is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Seagar knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Seagar is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Miller throws out a leg kick but Seagar moves out of range and Miller only half commits. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Miller fails to land with a series of punches.

Melvin Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Seagar throwing shots but missing, from side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Miller is trying to buck Seagar off. Miller is not content to let Seagar control the position. Miller is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Seagar off and has taken his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Seagar eats them both and turns towards Miller to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Seagar lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Seagar throws a strike but Miller rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Seagar keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass. Miller with a flurry of punches that miss. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Seagar keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully. John Seagar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Seagar preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Melvin Miller showed his dominance in that final round. Well Miller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
