Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raul Magtibay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koyomuki Yashigawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raul Magtibay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Koyomuki Yashigawa! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Magtibay. Magtibay connects with a looping right hand.
Magtibay darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Yashigawa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Magtibay avoids it really well and circles away. Magtibay lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Magtibay misses with an uppercut
and Yashigawa counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yashigawa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Magtibay on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Magtibay tries to get out of the position. Yashigawa trying to control the position from guard on top but Magtibay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Magtibay is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Koyomuki Yashigawa has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Magtibay fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yashigawa manages to avoid it. Yashigawa moves out of range of the body kick from Magtibay.
Magtibay misses the shot to the body. Magtibay slips a jab and a cross from Yashigawa.

Magtibay fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Yashigawa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Magtibay throws a big shot that misses. Magtibay shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Magtibay throws a body punch but Yashigawa moves out of range. Yashigawa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Magtibay looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Magtibay is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yashigawa landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Yashigawa landing strikes. Yashigawa tries for a kimura but Magtibay is defending well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Yashigawa is looking to take a break and control but Magtibay is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Yashigawa scoring with punches from side control. Yashigawa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Magtibay is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Magtibay gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yashigawa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Magtibay's head. Magtibay is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yashigawa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Magtibay with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Magtibay is breathing heavily. Yashigawa lands with a punch from half guard. Magtibay trying to hold on to Yashigawa's head to control him but Yashigawa postures up.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
