Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tre Tanks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, CJ Murdock!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tanks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Murdock looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Murdock is looking to regain half guard here but Tanks keeps moving and retains side control.
Murdock throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

Tanks is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Murdock has escaped the position, nice work there.
Murdock wants to get back to his feet but Tanks drags him back down.
Murdock tries to improve position but can't.
Murdock can't do much from the bottom here.
Murdock is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Murdock clinches up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Murdock stalling the fight.
Murdock lands a body shot.
Murdock jumps guard but Tanks stands there with Murdock around his waist. Murdock gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Murdock successfully pulls guard.
Murdock wants to hit a switch here but Tanks passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Murdock there!

Tanks has control of Murdock's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Murdock regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Murdock tries to lock up and control but Tanks gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Murdock is looking to get to half guard.
Tanks landing strikes from the mount and Murdock is in trouble!
Murdock is wriggling around trying to escape.

Tanks has hold of Murdock's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Murdock manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Tanks goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Murdock turns into him and now he's in Tanks's guard.
Tanks is breathing heavily.
Tanks keeping moving, preventing Murdock from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tanks lands some strikes from the bottom.
Murdock stopping the sweep attempt from Tanks.

Murdock gets to his feet - Tanks follows without any prompting.

Murdock closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Murdock lands in his opponent's guard.
Tanks avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tanks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Murdock trying to control but Tanks is working from the bottom.
Tanks wants to stand up but Murdock is controlling him.

Tanks had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Murdock is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tanks Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Murdock's back instead.
Murdock tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Tanks tries to push Murdock's head away but Murdock is holding on tight.

Tanks is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Tanks!
