Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mardy Bum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Staunton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bum has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staunton is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bum's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bum looking for submissions off his back.
Staunton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bum is just riding it out for now. Staunton eventually gives up the hold.
Bum tries to kick Staunton off but Staunton keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Staunton trying to control the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Staunton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Staunton is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bum sees it coming and defends easily.
Staunton is pressing down on Bum's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bum is holding on for now.
Staunton is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bum has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Staunton is working away from the top position though.
Staunton is trying for a kimura here. Bum looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Staunton wins by kimura!
