These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammer misses with a wild combination.
A right-left combo lands from Hammer.
Bedorf looks to land a left hand but Hammer moved out of range nicely.
Hammer slips a straight right by Bedorf.
Bedorf connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Eleven Hammer has been cut.
Hammer moves out of range as Bedorf strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hammer tries to bum rush Bedorf with a series of wild strikes but Bedorf uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Hammer makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hammer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hammer ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Karol Bedorf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bedorf cracks Hammer with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Hammer falls to his knees and Bedorf doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
