Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boris Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Varshik Gerich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gerich has chosen Drugwhore as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Drago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Varshik Gerich! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drago throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gerich's waist but Gerich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Drago off to one side. Gerich uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drago.
Gerich on the wrong end of a nice hook. Nice shot by Drago. Drago keeps the fight on the outside. Gerich avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Drago lands a body shot.
Drago shoots in for a takedown but Gerich shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Drago throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gerich's waist but Gerich gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Drago off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boris Drago. That's going to take a lot out of him. Drago has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gerich. Drago moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Gerich uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drago.
Gerich thows a body kick. Drago tries to catch it but that hurt him. Gerich throws a head kick that half lands.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gerich stuffs the takedown. Gerich tries to clinch up but Drago circles away and keeps his distance. Drago throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Drago stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gerich. Drago blocks a head kick by Gerich.
Drago scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gerich thumps Drago with a low kick. Gerich throws a head kick that Drago semi-blocks.
Gerich is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gerich feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Drago's calf. Drago throws a sloppy head kick and Gerich moves out of range easily. Drago throws a right and a left that both miss. Gerich tries to sprawl but Drago drives through with a takedown into half guard. Drago not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Gerich works his way to full guard. Good work. Gerich is trying to control the position but Drago postures up. Gerich tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gerich controls Drago momentarily but Drago frees himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gerich manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Drago manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Drago keeping full guard, as Gerich tries to pass. Gerich content to stall in guard here. Gerich slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Gerich is looking to take a break and control but Drago is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gerich tries to advance to mount but Drago denies him. Gerich wants to control but Drago is keeping him busy.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Varshik Gerich was stalling too much, according to the referee. Gerich plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Boris Drago has been cut. Gerich on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Gerich uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drago.

Drago takes a swing at Gerich's ribcage but misses. Gerich is looking to land body kicks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gerich lets loose with a powerful body kick. Drago will feel that in the morning. Drago takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Drago throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Drago throws a sloppy head kick and Gerich moves out of range easily. Gerich tries a head kick but it misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gerich goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Drago fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gerich manages to avoid it. Drago on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Gerich scores with a spinning back kick! Drago throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Gerich waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Drago. Varshik Gerich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gerich scores with a push kick. Gerich slips a jab and a cross from Drago.
Drago is breathing heavily. Gerich turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Drago tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gerich was well out of range. Poor timing from Drago. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Varshik Gerich dominated that round. The cut man is working on Boris Drago's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Drago takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Drago misses with a few strikes there.
Drago lands with a nice body punch. Drago throws a right and a left that Gerich avoids nicely. Varshik Gerich is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Drago misses with a low kick. Drago lands a right hook to the body.
Drago takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Gerich tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Drago misses with a hook. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gerich. Drago shrugs it off though. Drago just misses with a punch to the body.
Gerich thows a body shot but no joy. Drago sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Drago is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Drago blocks a head kick by Gerich.
Gerich lands a big head kick that sends Drago to the canvas! Gerich follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Varshik Gerich!
