The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Spliff.
Kone throws an overhand right that lands on Spliff's shoulder, as Spliff tries to avoid the shot.
Kone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kone gets the takedown into side control.
Kone stands up and beckons Spliff to his feet.
Kone misses with an uppercut. Spliff saw that one coming.
Kone jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Spliff ducks under a wild hook from Kone.

Spliff shoots in looking for a takedown but Kone manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spliff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kone throws a front kick aimed at Spliff's knee but Spliff avoids it well.

and Spliff counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Spliff is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kone is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kone has escaped and now he's on top!
Kone decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Kone bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Spliff's head.
Diesel Kone is winning the standup battle so far.
A telegraphed right hand from Kone misses the target.

Kone scores with a jab. Spliff acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Spliff uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kone.

so Spliff counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spliff drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kone manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Spliff has Kone in his guard.
Kone wants to get up but he can't break Spliff's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Diesel Kone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kone, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
