Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul ed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Hammonds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hammonds's choice of entrance music: Bad Meets Evil - Fast Lane ft. Eminem, Royce Da 5'9. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammonds with a lazy takedown attempt
and ed counters with a three punch combo that has Hammonds backing up. Hammonds nods at ed to acknowledge the strikes.

Hammonds drives through with a takedown into guard.
ed looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hammonds is one step ahead there.

Hammonds works a leg free and moves into half guard.
ed wants to get back to his feet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay Hammonds was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and ed counters with a left and a right that stings Hammonds.
ed lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
ed pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hammonds back to the cage. ed follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
ed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hammonds paws at him with a jab and circles away.
ed misses with a double jab.

ed avoids the elbow strike from Hammonds, against the cage.
Paul ed is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Hammonds has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. ed avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hammonds is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. ed is defending well for now.

Well ed has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
