Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Moffat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Short!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moffat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Moffat might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Moffat throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Short works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Moffat is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Short looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Short looking to control.

Moffat drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Moffat jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Moffat wants to pass the guard but Short is keeping the position.
Short is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Short throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moffat wants to control from the top but Short keeps moving.

Moffat postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Moffat won't allow Short to get back to his feet.
Short really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Moffat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Short utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Moffat drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Short dives on top into guard.
Short working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Moffat could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Short looking to pass the guard.

Moffat is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Short frees his head nicely. Oh but Moffat has switched to an armbar! Short is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Scott Moffat took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
