PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Scissors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and G SP (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scissors comes into the arena with Paper Cut - Linkin Park blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scissors avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
SP looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Scissors pulls out of a head kick attempt.
SP swats away the attempt to clinch by Scissors.
SP shoots in but no luck this time.

SP takes the fight into the clinch.

SP breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Scissors looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Scissors looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Scissors content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Scissors uses his free foot to push down on SP's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for SP.
SP really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scissors. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

SP has given up his back.
Scissors scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. SP is looking for a way out.
Scissors controls the position.
Scissors's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Scissors is working for a rear naked choke. SP is not defending it well and Scissors has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! SP refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of SP's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
