Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blackout Star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Kottonmouth Kings presents: Richter - Lets Go. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Carlos Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Blackout Star! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Star forces Gracie back against the cage and clinches. Star successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Star controlling Gracie's posture. Gracie wants to pass the guard but Star is keeping the position. Gracie wants to control from the top but Star keeps moving. Star trying to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Star is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gracie scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Star closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gracie to the mat! Gracie manages to get full guard. Star is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Star would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Star is looking to advance position but Gracie has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Star is trying desperately to improve position. Star really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gracie trying to control but Star is having none of it. Star wants to control but Gracie is having none of it. Star really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Star is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action. Gracie blocks Star's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Gracie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Star tries to lock up and control but Gracie gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Gracie wants to take Star's back but he can't do it this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie avoids the attempt from Star to control. Star is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gracie wants to control the pace but Star is squirming around nicely. Star tries to reverse the position but Gracie maintains control. Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time. Star is trying desperately to improve position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie is looking to stand but Gracie has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Star has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Star trying to control the position but Gracie manages to sink in the hooks. Gracie struggling to keep hold of the position.
Gracie is really struggling to control Star but he's trying to hold on to the position. Gracie not allowing Star to control his hands. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Star has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Star staying busy and making it hard for Gracie to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Carlos Gracie will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Gracie throws a wild body kick that Star sees coming a mile off. Star shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gracie defends it nicely. Star darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Blackout Star has got the better of the ground game so far. Gracie trying to control but Star postures up.
Star performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Star wants to stand but Gracie has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Gracie tries to get to full guard but Star has control of the leg.

Gracie is looking for a sweep. Star is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Gracie trying to control here.
Star wants to advance to full mount but Gracie doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Star is proving a slippery customer.

Star is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Gracie tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Star is in Gracie's guard. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Gracie is trying to hold Star in close to prevent damage but Star has managed to pass into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Star wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Gracie uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Star won't allow Gracie to sweep him here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Gracie defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Star. Star shoots in and gets a takedown into Gracie's guard. Star is breathing heavily. Gracie is trying to keep Star in close.
Star controlling from the top position. Gracie manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Star is looking to escape. Star is trying to escape the mount.
Gracie with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Star looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blackout Star showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Gracie lands an overhand right. A left lands for Gracie. Gracie darts in trying to clinch and Star counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Star. Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Star! Gracie fails to move to back control. Gracie forces the positional change into back control. Gracie avoiding Star 's attempts to control his hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie looking for the choke from the back. Star trying to control but not successfully. Gracie patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Gracie controlling well, preventing Star from escaping the position.
Gracie tries to keep control of the position but Star is staying busy. Star is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Gracie off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Gracie controlling well, preventing Star from escaping the position.

Star must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Star trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gracie's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Star is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie is adopting a defensive guard. Gracie wants to sweep here but Star controlling him for the moment. Star content to stall in guard here. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Star on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Star shows good takedown defense. Star shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gracie but Gracie pushes him off and we're back to square one. Star takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Star wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance. Star fails with an attempt to clinch.
Star slips a straight right by Gracie. Star takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Star moves into the clinch successfully.
Gracie wants to break free but Star has control.
Gracie is trying to maintain a safe position but Star gets an underhook and turns Gracie into the cage. Star has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gracie uses from the top position. Gracie stopping the sweep attempt from Star. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie trying to control but Star is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carlos Gracie. I think Gracie has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
