Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marc Timothy FernandoSilva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Devins! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! FernandoSilva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Devins counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Devins bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Devins takes the fight into the clinch. Devins pulls guard effortlessly. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Devins keeping full guard, as FernandoSilva tries to pass. FernandoSilva advances position into side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Devins tries to bench press FernandoSilva off him but FernandoSilva keeps the position. FernandoSilva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. FernandoSilva is trying to get an arm triangle but Devins is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. FernandoSilva tries to move to mount but Devins blocks the move with his legs. Devins manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Ground and pound from Devins. The fighters are battling for position here. FernandoSilva manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Devins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. FernandoSilva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Devins controls the pace. Devins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Devins trying to control but FernandoSilva is working from the bottom. Devins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. FernandoSilva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Bobby Devins hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Devins fails with a takedown attempt from distance. FernandoSilva moves out of range as Devins throws a body kick.
FernandoSilva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. FernandoSilva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. FernandoSilva is breathing heavily. FernandoSilva is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Devins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
FernandoSilva fails with the takedown and Devins counters with a nice double leg into side control. FernandoSilva won't be happy with that. Devins throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and FernandoSilva works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Devins is taking a breather. FernandoSilva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Devins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but FernandoSilva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Devins throwing shots but FernandoSilva is blocking nicely. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. FernandoSilva avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Devins. Devins wants to get back to his feet.

FernandoSilva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Devins swivels and escapes. Devins shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. FernandoSilva is trying to defend but Devins finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. FernandoSilva is refusing to be controlled, as Devins sits in half guard. Devins content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Devins is pressing down on FernandoSilva's thigh, looking to free his foot. FernandoSilva is holding on for now.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bobby Devins wasn't active enough on the ground. FernandoSilva with a lazy takedown attempt and Devins counters with a single leg into guard. FernandoSilva didn't expect that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Devins drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and FernandoSilva dives on top into guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. FernandoSilva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Devins keeps working. FernandoSilva works his way into full mount! This has been an exciting period of action! Devins tries to lock up and control but FernandoSilva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. FernandoSilva looking to control but Devins is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Devins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with FernandoSilva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. FernandoSilva looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. FernandoSilva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Devins is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Devins tries to hold on but FernandoSilva postures up. FernandoSilva throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Devins tries to hold on but FernandoSilva pushes him away. FernandoSilva with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's four minutes gone in the round. FernandoSilva wants to control from the top but Devins keeps moving. Devins looking to hit a scissor sweep but FernandoSilva is one step ahead there. FernandoSilva is looking to work some ground and pound but Devins has wrist control. Devins managing to control the position. FernandoSilva wants to control from the top but Devins keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Devins is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and FernandoSilva defends well. Bobby Devins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Devins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. FernandoSilva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Devins is in FernandoSilva's guard. FernandoSilva keeping full guard, as Devins tries to pass. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. FernandoSilva keeping moving, preventing Devins from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Bobby Devins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Devins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
