Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shalako Carlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shalako Carlin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Mac! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlin has Mac up against the cage in a clinch.
Carlin lands a damaging elbow. Mac is trying to drag Carlin to the mat but Carlin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Carlin lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Mac drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Carlin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Carlin!
Carlin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mac's guard. Carlin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carlin throwing strikes but missing. Carlin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlin wants to stand and escape but instead Mac has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Carlin wants to sweep here but Mac controlling him for the moment. Carlin is working hard here to advance position. Carlin trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mac stopping the sweep attempt from Carlin. Carlin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mac's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mac manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Mac swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Carlin is now in Mac's guard. A big mistake from Mac there, giving up the dominant position! Mac looks gassed! Mac keeping moving, preventing Carlin from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Carlin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mac trying to keep a closed guard but Carlin is proving a slippery customer.
Mac keeping moving, preventing Carlin from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carlin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Carlin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mac is proving hard to escape from.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mac pulls Carlin in close to his closed guard and prevents Carlin from doing any damage or advancing position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Carlin takes the fight into the clinch. Mac has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Carlin after a bit of a struggle. Shalako Carlin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Mac. Carlin working Mac over with knees to the body. Carlin turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mac is not content to let Carlin control the position. Carlin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mac, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shalako Carlin dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Carlin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Carlin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Carlin gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Carlin prevents the takedown attempt.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Carlin. Carlin lands an elbow just above Mac 's eye. Carlin misses with a knee strike.
Mac wants a takedown but no success here.
Carlin with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Carlin digs a right hand underneath Mac's ribcage. Mac let out a lung full of air as it connected. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carlin connects with a knee to the head.
Mac is breathing heavily. Carlin stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Mac takes an elbow to the forehead. Carlin lands a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlin controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Carlin with a flurry of punches that miss. Mac keeping moving, preventing Carlin from controlling successfully. Carlin stays in close to Mac's body and controls the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shalako Carlin. Carlin moves into the clinch successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlin lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Nice elbow from Carlin. Carlin connects with a knee to the head.
Mac is rocked! Carlin wants a takedown but no success here.
Mac is still on wobbly legs! Can Carlin finish him? Both guys are working to get underhooks. Mac seems to have recovered his senses. Carlin is working the Thai clinch up against the cage. He yanks Mac's head to one side and delivers a picture perfect knee, right on the button! Boom! Down goes Mac! He's out! He's out! The fight is over, just like that!
