Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Argos Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Gracie takes the fight into the clinch.

Gracie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Filipovic scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Filipovic cracks Gracie with an open hand slap.
Filipovic tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Filipovic. That snapped Gracie's head back.
Filipovic feints a jab promting Gracie to slip. Filipovic then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gracie slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Gracie gets a clinch.
Filipovic wants to break free but Gracie has control.

Gracie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gracie gets a double leg takedown into Filipovic's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gracie throws a big elbow that misses.
Gracie stays in close to Filipovic's body and controls the position.

Filipovic wants to stand up but Gracie is controlling him.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Argos Gracie wasn't active enough on the ground.
Gracie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie dives in and grabs Filipovic's left leg, looking for a takedown. Filipovic pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.
Filipovic could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Filipovic goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Filipovic tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Filipovic manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mirko Filipovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Filipovic sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mirko Filipovic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Argos Gracie.

Gracie frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
