Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ash Ramsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ash Ramsey!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramsey shoots in looking for a takedown. Stewart tries to sprawl out of it but Ramsey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stewart manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stewart throws an overhand right that lands on Ramsey's shoulder, as Ramsey tries to avoid the shot.
Stewart tries to clinch but Ramsey moves out of range.

Stewart looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ramsey!
Ramsey wants to control but Stewart is having none of it.
Stewart looking to control and managing it successfully.
Ramsey wants to hold on but Stewart pushes him away.
Stewart content just to control the position here.

Stewart working for a guillotine from mount but Ramsey is in no mood to give up.

Stewart takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Stewart takes Ramsey's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Ramsey is in trouble.

Stewart is persistently looking for the submission but Ramsey is defending it well.
Stewart is riding his opponent, not letting Ramsey buck him off.

Stewart is looking for a choke. Ramsey gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Ramsey manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stewart wants to get back to his feet but Ramsey passes into half guard.

Stewart closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ramsey quickly recovers to half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ramsey lands a head kick. Stewart smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Stewart goes for an armbar but Ramsey turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ramsey.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Stewart can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ramsey controls the pace.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Ramsey counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ramsey wanted to stand there but Stewart had control of the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramsey moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ramsey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Ramsey is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Stewart is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ramsey is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ramsey has escaped and now he's on top!

A close second round but Ash Ramsey will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Stewart is trying to pull guard but Ramsey turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Stewart looking to sit in guard and control but Ramsey gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramsey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ramsey pushes down on Stewart's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Stewart wants to control but Ramsey is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ramsey lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Stewart slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Ramsey has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stewart is proving hard to escape from.

David Stewart has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Ramsey manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ramsey feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stewart's calf.

Ramsey has hold of Stewart's hands but Stewart slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stewart is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ramsey sees it coming and defends easily.
Ramsey gets full guard.
Stewart looking to sit in guard and control but Ramsey gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Stewart tries to land a sweep but no joy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Stewart.
I think Stewart has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
